To all of you high school seniors out there—you’re getting so close! Four years of hard work and dedication will likely be culminating in your graduation this month. With your college decisions made and your summer vacation right around the corner, you’re more prone to fall victim to the plague known as senioritis. It’s only natural to develop a sense of complacency as you wrap up your high school career, but we want to remind you to stay strong, especially when it comes to your search for financial aid. There are so many great scholarships out there for the taking, so don’t let a little sluggishness get in the way of free money!

May 2012 Scholarship Deadlines

Great Lakes National Scholarship Program
Deadline: May 11, 2012
Award: $2,500 (Up to 750)
Eligibility: Open to high school seniors or undergraduate college students enrolling in science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) programs. All applicants must be US citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.75.

Deadline: May 11, 2012
Award: $1,000
Eligibility: High school seniors or undergraduate college students are eligible. Applicants must be US citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.

Award: $3,000 (6 available)
Eligibility: Available to young activist leaders ages 13 to 22 (as of July 1, 2012) living in North America.

Eligibility: Open to high school seniors planning a graduation celebration (of any size). Applicants must be US citizens and have a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Award: $1,500-$2,500
Eligibility: All high school seniors, undergraduate (2yr or 4yr) college students, and students at vocational or trade schools are eligible to apply. All applicants must be US citizens, between the ages of 18-25, and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
